CCM Motorcycles - Spitfire Series Price: from £8995 OTR

Last Updated On: 25/04/2021

CCM Motorcycle's stunning Spitfire Series of custom motorbikes consists of eight seperate models, and they are: Blackout, Stealth Six, Stealth Foggy, Stealth Bobber, Foggy S Edition, Spitfire Six, Foggy FT Spitfire and RAF Benevolent Fund. The name 'Foggy' is taken from the Superbike world champion Carl Fogarty.

All models use the same 600cc single cylinder four stroke engine, which generates 55bhp and is driven through a six-speed gearbox. Average fuel consumption is 56mpg (5 litres/100km). All of their motorcycles are supplied with a 2-year warranty and CCM's mobile service technicians are available to visit the owner at their home to assist with the servicing and maintenance of their new bike.

Blackout: With a bloodline of such pedigree, this very special Blackout Edition will raise your pulse each time you gaze upon the hand-painted exclusive colour scheme adorning the sculpted curves of the fuel tank and deep glossy carbon bodywork. Sitting astride the rich grey micro-suede twin saddle, you feel instantly in control and ready for your next mission. Thumb the fire button and the characterful 600cc motor bursts into life, a rich timbre echoing from the slash-cut twin high-level pipes. This bike was selected from a host of motorcycles to star in one of this year's blockbuster action films.

Stealth Six: Since the very inception of the Spitfire generation of hand-built motorcycles, the passion that is stirred by these unique machines is palpable, with each owner striving to instil some of their own personality in their ride. This is the first of the series created specifically to empower Spitfire owners to apply their own style and personality on their bike. Built on the same foundations of all other variants, the Six retains the torque laden 600cc single adorned by the artisan hand-welded trellis frame. The design takes styling cues from the original Spitfire with hints of Bobber, with its floating seat, making the ride more accessible to riders of all heights. The flowing curves of the Spitfire series fuel tank are further enhanced by the this, the deeply desirable Stealth pack.

Stealth Foggy: If the ‘S’ model represents Foggy’s professional career, then the Foggy FT is a nod to his early biking life off-road. This stunning Stealth version of the FT sits with an almost aggressive stance with its classic Flat Tracker inspired lines. The black 19” forged alloy wheels, shod with road-biased Flat Track racing rubber provide grip and agility to match the purposeful looks. The fully adjustable suspension keeps things in check when you’re enjoying the soundtrack that the titanium under-seat pipe and straight-through filter provides.

Stealth Bobber: The Bobber or “Bob-Job”evolved in 1930’s America from the “Cut-Down” bikes of the 1920’s. These were stripped back minimalist machines with all accessories removed, a “chopped”rear and a lowered seat height making for a more compact, lighter motorcycle.

It was a logical choice then to launch our own version of the Bobber, taking its underpinnings from the lean and lithe Spitfire, a bike as stripped back as a modern road legal bike can be.

Foggy S Edition: In 2018, seven-time world Superbike champion, Carl Fogarty, took on the role of CCM brand ambassador and Director of Performance. Carl’s first job was to take the successful Spitfire platform and create a new motorcycle worthy of wearing the “Foggy eyes” logo – The Foggy “S” edition was the product of Carl’s imagination. The bodywork has been sculpted from carbon fibre, the only material befitting a world champion, and then lavished in a rich, high-gloss, Rosso Corsa red finish.

Completing the tribute to Carl’s WSB past, a titanium under-seat exhaust and a pair of  lightweight, machined-alloy, five-spoke 17″ wheels from British racing manufacture Dymag, create a distinctive, purposeful look. Dymag’s lightest alloy race wheels save valuable kg’s, further endowing this beautiful machine with incredible poise and agility.

Uprated race-mapping, super-grippy Avon 3D Ultra Evo tyres connect the rider to the road, and with powerful 4-Pot Brembo braking power up-front, ensures the Foggy S stops as well as it goes.

Spitfire Six: This is the first of the series created specifically to empower Spitfire owners to apply their own style and personality on their bike. Built on the same foundations of all other variants, the Six retains the torque laden 600cc single adorned by the artisan hand-welded trellis frame, now available in a unique range of high-quality powder-coat finishes. The design takes styling cues from the original Spitfire with hints of Bobber, with its floating seat, making the ride more accessible to riders of all heights.

The flowing curves of the Spitfire series fuel tank are further enhanced by a collection of contrasting paint finishes, with complimentary saddle colours and finishes. An assortment of colour anodising for the ancillary components completes the look.

Foggy FT Spitfire: If the S model represents Foggy’s professional career, then the Foggy FT is a nod to his early biking life off road. Resplendent in the same deep lustrous, Rosso Corsa red finish as the Foggy S, the FT sits with an almost aggressive stance with its classic Flat Tracker inspired lines. The black 19” forged alloy wheels, shod with Flat Track racing rubber provide grip and agility to match the purposeful looks, and adjustable suspension keeps things in check when you’re enjoying the soundtrack that the titanium underseat pipe and straight through filter provides.

RAF Benevolent Fund: Inspired by a bygone era of British motorcycles, and the machine ridden by the legendary TE Lawrence, his beloved Brough Superior. With its elegant hand-stitched luggage panniers and vintage front show-plate, the bike gives an unmistakable nod to the pride and joy of Lawrence of Arabia. Taking further styling cues from the original Supermarine Spitfire prototype, the light blue colour scheme mirrors that of Spitfire K5054, built in 1936.

Invasion stripes, as used in D-Day landings wrap around the tank, and even the extended carbon fibre mudguard tips have the same chromium yellow taken from the original Spitfire propeller design. Further attention to detail can be found behind the plush, floating saddle, where the signature of Sydney Hennan, father of CCM founder Gail Clews, who lost his life serving in the RAF, is inscribed in the machined alloy seat base.

Whilst thoroughly modern in design and efficiency, the power behind this unique motorcycle comes from the same characterful 600cc single cylinder motor used across all Spitfire variants endowing this very special variant with a timeless feel. CCM’s signature artisan trellis frame provides the underpinnings for this exclusive model.

Just 100 of these exquisite bikes will be hand-built to commemorate 100 years since the formation of the Royal Air Force.
